Recording Audio on Garage Band (Mac)
Once you have opened garage band, click "creat new project"
name it whatever you want
click "create
click on "trach" the "new track"
click "Real Instrument"
Under "vocal" click "no effects" then "create".
Converting .AIF to .WAV
Needed for Podcasts:
Create file in Garage Band (Mac)
Open .band folder
If you have more than 1 file you have to listen to each of them and figure out which one you're going to use.
Once you know, open the file in Windows Media Player
Click "File" then "Save As"
Change .AIF to .WAV
Recording Audio on Windows XP:
- Click Start/Programs/Accessories
- Select Entertainment
- Click Sound Recorder
- Plug in Headphone/Mic (check out from Ms Donna)
- When you're ready
- click the red circle
- when done click the black square
Using iTunes to change audio file type:
- Windows
- Open Edit/Preferences
- Advanced tab
- Importing tab
- Import Using dropbox
- Select MP3 Encoder or your choice
- You may wish to change Setting dropbox
- Select spoken for interviews.
