Physical Science is designed to:

*To foster individualized learning with an emphasis on multiple intelligences, constructivism, project-based learning and authentic assesment

This course is designed to help students develop an understanding of the physical sciences so they will be able to think critically and apply the knowledge to real world situations.

Purpose of Course

• To teach students basic facts, concepts and theories pertaining to environmental science.
• To engage students in a beautification project to foster an appreciation for our environmnet.
• To design and conduct research projects to learn about science through a "Way of Knowing".
• To expose students to different environmental issues and policies.
• To foster individualized learning with an emphasis on multiple intelligences, constructivism, project-based learning and authentic assessments.

• To teach students basic zoology facts, concepts and theories.
• To learn laboratory techniques and develop critical thinking skills with hands-on learning and activities.
• To use technology skills to enhance learning in the field of science.
• To foster individualized learning with an emphasis on multiple intelligences, constructivism, project-based learning and authentic assessment.

Goals of the Course

• By developing and understanding of zoological sciences, the students will be able to think critically and apply knowledege to real world situations.

Expected Results

• The students will develop a basic understanding of-and an appreciation for-the field of zoology.
